Flow yoga, also known as Vinyasa yoga, is a popular style of yoga that is characterized by a continuous, flowing sequence of poses that are synchronized with the breath. The length, benefits, and drawbacks of flow yoga can vary depending on the individual's practice and experience level.
Rob taught Ashtanga Yoga for four years and eventually was mostly drawn to Iyengar, a very structured style of hatha yoga. He now practices The New Yoga, a coin he termed to reflect yoga based on movement sciences and what works at a functional level.
Flow yoga classes typically last anywhere from 45 minutes to 90 minutes, depending on the teacher and the studio.
In conclusion, flow yoga offers a dynamic and challenging practice that can provide numerous physical and mental benefits. However, it may not be suitable for everyone, and beginners should approach this style of yoga with caution and seek the guidance of an experienced teacher.
